Establish a Governing Body for UK Sports Archery and Make it an Olympic Sport

Having found my salvation in the ancient sport of archery, which helped me climb out of the depths of depression, break free from the shackles of substance abuse and combat mental health issues, I deeply understand the transformative power of this sport. Archery, specifically Sports Archery, where teamwork, strategy, and physical prowess combine, has been a lifeline for me. It's not just a hobby or a pastime, but a way of life that has been resilient for thousands of years.

Initially I started work at the archery inspired clothing, jewellery and ancient artefact store b0wm4n.com to honour this ancient sport. I decided that this is not enough. This is the reason I have started this petition and founded the World Ultimate Sports Archery Competition Association (WUSACA) with the sole purpose of unifying archers world-wide under one banner to ensure a bright and fun-filled legacy of this great sport. 

Despite its historical legacy and popularity, Sports Archery, synonymous with competitive combat archery games like team survival-match or capture the flag, lacks an official governing body in the UK & world-wide. We urgently need to address this absence, establish a recognised entity to oversee the sport's standards, development and promotion, thus giving it the recognition it deserves.

Moreover, despite its competitive nature and wide public interest, the sport is unfortunately not included in the sacred roster of Olympic events. Including Sports Archery in the Olympics would help foster international competition, increase participation and fundamentally enhance the sport's prestige. The timeless appeal and impressive heritage of archery make it an ideal candidate for inclusion in the world's biggest sporting event.

There is an irrefutable need for Sports Archery's establishment not only as an official sport with a governing body in the UK, but also as an Olympic event. We cannot afford to ignore the benefits this sport can bring, from uniting communities to providing a healthy outlet for people grappling with mental health issues.

Join us in appealing these concerns to the UK Government and the International Olympic Committee. Let us take this important step and ensure Sports Archery is given the respect, recognition and representation it so rightly deserves.
